50 an hour What's the job? The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience.
As a Front Desk Agent, you'll not only be the person they rely on to handle transactions, offer local insights and anticipate every detail of a friction-free experience.
You'll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location.
This position will have floating shifts, meaning your weekly schedule may contain a mix of different shifts, based upon hotel needs.
We also require all employees to be cross-trained on our Night Audit position to assist with overnight coverage, should a call off ever occur.
So this candidate would ideally also need to be able to help cover overnight shifts, if ever needed (rare occurrence).
Your day-to-day Be Friendly & Welcoming:

This includes starting every stay right by swiftly checking guests in and out, which also includes cash handling and credit card transactions Assist with daily hotel laundry - during downtime between checking in guest, you are expected to assist in the daily hotel laundry.
This includes sorting, loading washers/dryers and folding linens and towels.
Each shift is expected to fold a minimum of 2 loads, and each load folded after minimum is met, bonus points are awarded Be a trusted contact for all guests:
Stay one step ahead of guests' needs - record and act on their preferences, and handle their messages, requests, questions and concerns, help them with anything from bill issues to local knowledge, and loop in management when necessary Stay safe all the time:
Following our recently upgraded safety procedures, you'll be required to wear PPE daily to assist in the reduction of any airborne illnesses including but not limited to face coverings, gloves, face shields, hourly disinfecting of highly touched areas, etc.
What we need from you Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you'll be easy to talk to Problem-solving skills- good problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories not problems Literate and tech-savvy - you'll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic math and computers Flexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job Dependability - we all depend upon each other to keep the hotel running smoothly so frequently calling off and/or being late will not be tolerated as it affects more then just you and your paycheck.
Reliable Transportation - part of being dependable is having reliable transportation to/from work so this is a MUST.
We understand issues may arise from time to time but we are requiring you to have reliable transportation prior to any offers of employment as we are not located in a large city with public transportation Experience - ideally, you'll have spent at least one year in a front desk or guest service position, this is preferred but again is not required Strength - assisting with laundry is more sternous then you would expect, and sometimes you'll need to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg) in a cart.
This can involve bending and kneeling while transferring and folding.
